MY SALES EXPERIENCE

AS A YOUNG GIRL I SPENT MANY YEARS VISITING MY FATHER'S CUSTOMERS AND LISTENING TO HOW HE SOLD RALIEGHS PRODUCTS, SHOES, UNIFORMS, AND VITAMINS.  AT THE TIME I THOUGHT IT WAS BORING AS I JUST READ AND OBSERVED.  HE SEEMED TO GET ALONG WITH EVERYONE HE MET.  HE AND HIS BROTHER HAD DEGREES IN PSYCHOLOGY.  BOTH OF THEM ENJOYED SELLING AS A CAREER THE MOST.  MY FATHER HAD PATIENCE TO TO MAKE SURE HIS CUSTOMERS WERE TREATED KINDLY.  HE RARELY RAISED HIS VOICE TO US.  HE AND HIS BROTHER ALONG WITH HIS FATHER OPERATED  A WESTERN STORE IN A SMALL TOWN.  THEY ENJOYED HAVING MANY PEOPLE FROM TOWN COME IN AND CHAT WITH THEM.  OUR FAMILY DID NOT ENTERTAIN AS MUCH AS I HAVE..  I'M NOT SURE WHY.  WE LIVED IN AN OLD HOUSE AND IT WAS POSSIBLE MY MOM DID NOT WANT TO SPEND THE TIME COOKING FOR MANY OTHER PEOPLE.

AFTER HIGH SCHOOL I BEGAN A SMALL DOOR TO DOOR JOB SELLING VACUUM CLEANERSAND I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE.  IT WAS DIFFICULT TO EVEN FIND PEOPLE HOME.  IT WAS JUST A START AND IT LASTED A FEW MONTHS.  AS A MOM I LATER BUILT FOUNTAINS AND SOLD THEM TO STORES AND AT FAIRS, AS WELL TO BUSINESSES.  I MADE APPOINTMENTS WITH ALLL KINDS OF GIFT STORES AND I MET PEOPLE IN MY TOWN.  THEN I MADE A PHOTO SHOWCASE OF MY FOUNTAINS.  IT TOOK MUCH ENERGY GOING TO MANY BUSINESSES AND BOOK STORES,, RELAXING SPAS.  I LEARNED THAT I ENJOYED THE ASPECT OF IT MUCH MORE.  THIS WAS A PART TIME JOB AS I RAISED MY CHILD.  I BEGAN TO REALIZE THAT  I WANTED TO MEET NEW PEOPLE  VS. BE WITH A LARGE COMPANY   AS I A PART TIME LECTURER ABOUT NATIVE AMERICANS I SOUGHT OUT TO BE A FOOD DEMONSTRATOR WITH ORGANIC FOOD PRODUCTS. WHICH GAVE ME MUCH FULFILLMENT  AS I WORKED WITH ORGANIC COMPANIES.  THESE COMPANIES AND THE CUSTOMERS WERE APPRECIATIVE OF MY WORK, I GOT IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK FROM THE FOLKSWHO TASTED AND BOUGHT AMY'S FOODS AND ALVARADO STREET BREAD.  AS I GAINED MORE CONFIDENCE I DECIDED TO WORK ON MY DEGREE IN LIFE COACHING.  AFTER COMPLETING MY COACHING SCHOOLING I SPENT ENERGY  AND MANY CALLS TO ORGANIZATIONS.  THIS TOOK ALOT OF SALES WORK.  I ORGANIZED A NUMBER OF TALKS THAT OFFERED  FREE AT TIMES TO GROUPSABOPUT HOW THEY COULD IMPROVEPERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.  I WAS GOOD AT THIS PROFESION AND PUT A LOT OF ENERGY INTO REACHING OUT .  HOWEVER, MYT CLIENTS FELT BETTER AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS AND I HAD FEW REFERRALS SO I GAVE MORE TALKS TO CANCER GROUPS AQND OTHERS WITH DISABIULITIES.  AS A LIFE COACH I ALSO LED OUTDOOR RETREATS FOR PEOPLE TO BECOME CLOSER TO NATURE TO RELAX AND SLOW DOWN.  I SPOKE WITH ANY PEOPLE SO I COULD BOOK TALKS.   I ATTENDED A BUSINESS GROUP TO TRAIN  FOR REFERALS AND SPEAK ABOUT MY WORK.  I ALSO SPOKE TO RETIREMENT HOMES  AND JUNIOR COLLEGES AND A RETREAT CENTER.  I FOUND MY WORK VERY ENJORABLE AS I GOT EXCELLLENT REVIEWS AND TESTIMONIALS.
