ENGLAND CULTURE

SINCE 1950'S ENGLISH HAVE EATEN LESS RED MEAT, MORE CHIKEN, FISH AND LESS FATS.  FRESH FRUITS ARE IN FAVOR OF WHILE VEGIS ARE NOT, EXCEPT FOR SALAD.TODAY THEY EAT THEIR MAIN MEAL IN THE EVENING AND THEY MAY EAT FAST FOOD.  THEY ARE SHIFTING AWAY FROM MEAT.

APART FROM CAKES ON A BIRTHDAY A FEW SPECIAL FOODS ARE EATEN AT MOST CELEBRATIONS THAT INVOLVE ALCOHOL EVEN AT CHURCHES.

THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ARE SELF SUFFICIENT IS SMALL.  THEIR MAJOR INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT PRODUCTS ARE TEXTILES, FOOD BEVERAGES AND TOBACCO, PAPER, WOOD, CHEMICALS, METALS AND OPTICAL EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY.
